The blökalok system was designed to be easy to use—so that even the least-experienced Weekend Warrior would be able to find success. To build the walls of most basic structures, you'll only need two tools: a caulking gun and a drill. Just think about how much time, money and manpower that will save you. Not to mention that big ol' pat on the back you just gave yourself.


You might be wondering how proven is this “new technology.” Actually, our system is based on 80 year-old trusted technology called SIP (Structural Insulated Panel). SIP building has been proven to be stronger and longer lasting over time, which we think is fantastic. Our proprietary interlocking design builds on this strength. Blökalöks are much stronger than traditional "stick" frame building and faster to install too.


In addition to the strength of SIP building, there are also significant benefits in energy efficiency. With the elimination of thermal bridging (which occurs in traditional stick frame building), the blökalök system will make your structure an energy efficient super habitat for whatever you put inside.


Yep, you read that correctly. But maybe you’re wondering, “What about polystyrene?” People often question the use of polystyrene (Styrofoam) because it takes hundreds of years to decompose after entering a landfill. That part is true, but hear us out. It’s important to consider the entire life-cycle of our product—we're not talking about a single-use coffee cup here.

The blökalöks system uses polystyrene as an extremely efficient insulator for permanent or semi-permanent structures. When heated and cooled over time, a home built with our blökalöks system consumes about half the energy of a traditional stick-framed building. Yes, half.

When you factor the energy efficiencies and savings over the life of our product, it’s much better for the environment than traditional building methods.

Each blök is made of three simple materials and comes in two widths.

This car weighs 3,500 pounds and was driven onto this 9 foot long blök wall.  The cement blocks at the corners are supporting the weight as pictured, however, as the car drove onto the blök wall, it supported about 2,100 pounds at the middle without so much as a creak or crack.
